Thoughts of Iceland

Another hot and humid day in Timor -- a nice swim in the ocean, a bit of snorkeling and then to the back porch and hope for a breeze -- and if that doesn't work -- thoughts of Iceland. I figured a photo of a glacier and nearly freezing water tumbling over a massive waterfall might just do the trick. I remember being so cold that my fingers were almost numb as I walked to the waterfall on a May day in 2006 -- and felt the mist from the falls almost turning to ice on my jacket. I can almost feel it now -- in the 90 degree heat -- almost!

I was there in May. Never really got dark -- it was beginning to get warm, but a good jacket was required. Late June or July would probably be the best time to visit Iceland.
