These beautiful specimens were spotted at a Nature Center in Asheville -- they are mountain rattle snakes -- check out their rattles!

I've yet to see any in the wild this spring -- only black snakes, so far.

I've been away from this blog for a few days after my laptop died -- the motherboard-- so it's not worth fixing. I've ordered a new one, but for now, I'm using my old reliable HP -- purchased in '03. It's slow, but it has excellent Harman/Kardon speakers.

Looking forward to my new Toshiba -- also with H/K speakers!
