Remembering Springtime in Tajikistan

These photos were taken in northern Tajikistan in May 2007, during a roadtrip from Khujand to Dushanbe, the capital. It became a three day trip after the road washed out.This beekeeper worked his hives without wearing any protective clothing -- the same as my dad. He always says "if the bee senses fear, it will sting, so don't be fearful when working with bees.
